“My Sharona” è la traccia numero 1 del lato B di “Get the Knack”, album d’esordio del gruppo “The Knack”. Pubblicato nel 1979, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. The Knack è un complesso powerpop/new wave nato a Los Angeles. Il singolo “My Sharona” raggiunse la posizione numero uno della Billboard Hot 100 e vi rimase per cinque settimane. In Italia fu un vero tormentone estivo. La formazione iniziale era composta da Doug Fieger(voce solista, chitarra), Berton Averre(seconda voce, chitarra), Prescott Niles(basso) e Bruce Gary(batteria). Il cantante Doug Fieger è morto il 14 febbraio 2010 dopo una lunga malattia.
