“Livin’ On A Prayer” è la traccia numero 3 di “Slippery When Wet”, terzo album del gruppo “Bon Jovi”. Uscito nel 1986, questa canzone è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album. I Bon Jovi sono un gruppo rock statunitense, formatosi nel 1983 a Sayreville, New Jersey. Il gruppo è formato da Jon Bon Jovi(voce), Richie Sambora(chitarra), David Bryan(tastiere) e Tico Torres(batteria). La formazione originaria comprendeva anche Alec John Such(basso), il quale è stato licenziato dalla band nel 1994. Nel corso della loro carriera, i Bon Jovi hanno pubblicato un totale di dodici album in studio e hanno venduto oltre 130 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo. L’album “Slippery When Wet” restò 8 settimane consecutive in vetta alla “Billboard 200” e arrivò a vendere circa 33 milioni di copie nel mondo. Il singolo “Livin’ On A Prayer” raggiunse il primo posto nella “Billboard Hot 100”, rimanendovi per quattro settimane, e si piazzò alla posizione 4 della “UK Singles Chart”.
