“Boys Don’t Cry” è la traccia numero 8 del secondo CD di “Three Imaginary Boys”, album d’esordio del gruppo “The Cure”. Uscito nel 1979, questa canzone è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album. The Cure è il nome di un gruppo musicale post-punk inglese, i cui esordi risalgono al 1976, in piena esplosione new wave. La band, la cui formazione è variata più o meno regolarmente nel corso degli anni, comprendendo da un minimo di due fino ad un massimo di sei membri, ha raggiunto l’apice del successo tra la metà e la fine degli anni ottanta. Al luglio 2008, i Cure avevano venduto circa 28 milioni di dischi. La formazione all’epoca dell’album “Three Imaginary Boys” era composta da Robert Smith(voce), Michael Dempsey(basso, voce) e Lol Tolhurst(batteria).
