“New Gold Dream” è la traccia numero 6 di “New Gold Dream(81, 82, 83, 84)”, quinto album del gruppo “Simple Minds”. Uscito nel 1982, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Simple Minds sono un gruppo musicale scozzese, considerati uno dei più rappresentativi e influenti degli anni ‘80 e ‘90. In oltre trent’anni di carriera hanno venduto circa 40 milioni di album. Il gruppo attuale è formato da Jim Kerr(voce), Charlie Burchill(chitarra), Mel Gaynor(batteria), Andy Gillespie(tastiere) e Ged Grimes(basso). Il video allegato non è quello ufficiale; le immagini sono prese dal film “The Informers”. La scena iniziale del film ha in sottofondo proprio la canzone “New Gold Dream”.
