“Desperado” è la traccia numero 5 di “Desperado”, secondo album del gruppo “Eagles”. Uscito nel 1973, questa canzone è il terzo singolo estratto dall’album. Gli Eagles sono un gruppo musicale rock statunitense proveniente da Los Angeles, formato nel 1971 originariamente da 4 componenti: Glenn Frey(voce, chitarra), Don Henley(voce, batteria), Bernie Leadon(chitarra, mandolino, banjo) e Randy Meisner(voce, basso); dopo vari cambiamenti di formazione e una lunga pausa dal 1980 al 1994, il gruppo è tuttora in attività. Il loro stile risente dell’influenza di vari generi, quali il country americano, il soft rock, ma anche il rock ‘n’ roll e persino l’hard rock. Il loro disco “Their Greatest Hits(1971-1975)” ha venduto oltre 42 milioni di copie nel mondo di cui 29 milioni solo negli Stati Uniti, ma fu “Hotel California” quello che riscosse maggior successo.
