“Congo” è la traccia numero 2 di “Calling All Stations”, quindicesimo album del gruppo “Genesis”. Uscito nel 1997, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Genesis sono un gruppo progressive rock britannico, cresciuto e affermatosi all’interno del vasto movimento del rock progressivo. Sono considerati una delle band più importanti e innovative della storia del rock. La banda attuale è formata da Phil Collins(voce, batteria), Tony Banks(tastiera, pianoforte, chitarra) e Mike Runtherford(basso, chitarra). In passato hanno fatto parte del gruppo anche Peter Gabriel(voce, percussioni, fiati) e Steve Hackett(chitarra). Durante la loro carriera, hanno venduto più di 150 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo, inserendosi nella lista dei trenta artisti di maggior successo commerciale di tutti i tempi. “Calling All Stations” è l’ultimo album pubblicato dai Genesis ed è l’unico in cui il vocalist è Ray Wilson. L’album raggiunge la seconda posizione nel Regno Unito, in Germania e Norvegia, la terza in Svizzera, la quinta in Francia, la sesta in Austria e la nona in Olanda.
