“Sweet Sixteen” è la traccia numero 4 di “Whiplash Smile”, terzo album del cantante “Billy Idol”. Uscito nel 1986, questa canzone è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album. Billy Idol, all’anagrafe William Michael Albert Broad, è un cantante rock britannico. Dapprima frontman della punk rock band “Generation X”, raggiunse grande notorietà durante la sua carriera solista negli anni ottanta. Il video di “Sweet Sixteen” è ambientato al “Coral Castle” in Florida. La canzone si ispira alla storia di Edward Leedskalnin, un ragazzo lettone che dopo essere stato lasciato dalla sua compagna Agnes Scuffs il giorno prima del matrimonio, cominciò a costruire questa struttura nel corso di decenni.
