“Anarchy In The UK” è la traccia numero 8 di “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols”, album d’esordio del gruppo “Sex Pistols”. Pubblicato nel 1977, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Sex Pistols sono stati uno dei più influenti gruppi punk rock britannici e una grande icona della prima ondata punk. Nel 2006, l’album “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” è stato selezionato dalla prestigiosa rivista Time come uno dei 100 migliori dischi di sempre. Il singolo “Anarchy In The UK” ha venduto oltre 55.000 copie in Inghilterra, ed è arrivato al 38esimo posto delle classifiche britanniche, prima che ne venisse fermata la produzione per susseguenti proteste. Il gruppo era formato da Johnny Rotten(voce), Steve Jones(chitarra), Paul Cook(batteria) e Glen Matlock(basso), poi sostituito da Sid Vicious(basso, voce). Quest’ultimo è morto di overdose nel 1979.
