“I’d Rather Be High” è la traccia numero 8 di “The Next Day”, ventisettesimo album di David Bowie. Pubblicato nel 2013, questa canzone è il quarto singolo estratto dall’album. David Bowie è un cantautore, polistrumentista, attore e compositore britannico. Attivo dalla metà degli anni sessanta, Bowie ha attraversato cinque decenni nella musica rock, reinventando nel tempo il suo stile e la sua immagine e creando personaggi come Ziggy Stardust, Halloween Jack e The Thin White Duke. Nel 2008 è stato inserito al 23esimo posto nella lista dei “100 migliori cantanti” secondo “Rolling Stone”. L’album “The Next Day” ha raggiunto la prima posizione in numerosi Paesi, tra cui Regno Unito e Giappone. Il brano “I’d Rather Be High” è la colonna sonora della campagna di Louis Vuitton “L’Invitation Au Voyage”.
