“All Along The Watchtower” è la traccia numero 7 di “Electric Ladyland”, terzo album del gruppo “The Jimi Hendrix Experience”. Uscito nel 1968, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. The Jimi Hendrix Experience è stato il celebre gruppo che faceva capo a Jimi Hendrix(voce, chitarra); comprendeva Noel Redding(basso) e Mitch Mitchell(batteria). La mattina del 18 settembre 1970, Hendrix venne trovato morto nell’appartamento che aveva affittato al Samarkand Hotel, al 22 di Lansdowne Crescent. A tutt’oggi la sua morte rimane un mistero. Il brano “All Along The Watchtower” è una cover di una canzone di Bob Dylan. Nonostante ciò, la rivista “Rolling Stone” ha annoverato il brano di Hendrix al 48esimo posto della lista delle “500 migliori canzoni”.
