“Gloria” è la traccia numero 6 di “The Angry Young Them”, album d’esordio del gruppo “Them”. Uscito nel 1965, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Them sono stati un gruppo musicale rock dell’Irlanda del Nord, attivo negli anni sessanta e conosciuto per essere stato la band con cui ha debuttato il cantante Van Morrison. Gli altri componenti del gruppo erano Billy Harrison(chitarra),  Eric Wrixon(pianoforte, tastiere), Alan Henderson(basso), Raymond Sweetman(basso) e Ronnie Millings(batteria). “Gloria” è uno dei maggiori successi dei Them. La canzone è stata incisa in numerose cover da diversi gruppi musicali o cantanti, fra cui Patti Smith, i Doors.
