“Uprising” è la traccia numero 1 di “The Resistance”, quinto album del gruppo “Muse”. Pubblicato nel 2009, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Muse(IPA: [mjuːz] in inglese) sono un gruppo musicale alternative rock britannico formatosi nel 1992 a Teignmouth, nel Devon. Il gruppo è composto da Matthew Bellamy(voce, chitarra, pianoforte), Chris Wolstenholme(basso, cori, armonica) e Dominic Howard(batteria, percussioni, cori). La maggior parte dei testi delle loro canzoni, composte principalmente dal frontman Bellamy, trattano temi riguardanti apocalisse, ufo, guerra, vita, universo, politica e religione. Nella loro carriera musicale i Muse hanno vinto numerosi premi, tra cui un “Grammy Awards”. In Italia l’album “The Resistance” raggiunse la prima posizione in classifica e vendette oltre 120 mila copie guadagnando lo stato di doppio disco di platino. Alla cerimonia dei “Grammy Awards” 2011 venne premiato nella categoria “Best Rock Album”. La canzone “Uprising” la canzone è stata composta come protesta alla crisi finanziaria del 2007-2009 e alla situazione delle banche, che contribuiscono ad aggravare la crisi.
