“Louder Than Words” è la traccia numero 18 di “The Endless River”, quindicesimo album del gruppo “Pink Floyd”. Uscito nel 2014, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Pink Floyd sono una rock band britannica formatasi nella seconda metà degli anni sessanta che, nel corso di una lunga e travagliata carriera, è riuscita a riscrivere le tendenze musicali della propria epoca, diventando uno dei gruppi più importanti della storia. Il gruppo storico era formato da Rogers Waters(basso elettrico), David Gilmour(voce principale, chitarra principale), Richard Wright(voce principale, piano elettrico, organo, sintetizzatore VCS3) e Nick Mason(batteria, percussioni). “The Endless River” è il primo album del gruppo in 20 anni. L’album è anche il primo uscito dopo la morte del tastierista Wright avvenuta nel 2008. “The Endless River” è basato su materiale inedito che il gruppo registrò con Wright durante le sessioni per “The Division Bell” nel 1994. Sul finale del brano “Louder Than Words” è possibile ascoltare una voce appena percettibile, che sembra pronunciare “Go to Heaven, Wright”. Si tratta ovviamente di un tributo al tastierista scomparso.
