“Let There Be Rock” è la traccia numero 3 di “Let There Be Rock”, quarto album del gruppo “AC/DC”. Uscito nel 1977, questa canzone è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album. Gli AC/DC(spesso reso graficamente come ACϟDC) sono un gruppo hard rock formatosi a Sydney nel 1973. I loro album hanno venduto oltre 200 milioni di copie nel mondo, di cui oltre 71 milioni nei soli Stati Uniti. Sono inoltre considerati di rilevanza storica fondamentale nel panorama rock. Dal 1974 al 1980 il cantante del gruppo era Bon Scott. Il 19 febbraio 1980 fu trovato morto a Londra, all’interno di una Renault 5 di un amico. La band scelse Brian Johnson per sostituire lo sfortunato cantante. Il gruppo attuale è formato da Brian Johnson(voce), Angus Young(chitarra solista), Stevie Young(chitarra ritmica, cori), Phil Rudd(batteria) e Cliff Williams(basso elettrico, cori). Malcolm Young(chitarra ritmica, cori), membro storico degli AC/DC, ha abbandonato la band nel 2014 per gravi problemi di salute ed è deceduto il 18 novembre 2017. “Let There Be Rock” è un album grezzo e senza compromessi, che rivaleggia con la musica punk del periodo per impeto e immediatezza pur non sacrificando le componenti rock and roll e blueseggianti caratteristiche del gruppo.
