“Man On The Silver Mountain” è la traccia numero 1 di “Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow”, album d’esordio del gruppo Rainbow. Uscito nel 1975, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Rainbow sono un gruppo hard & heavy inglese fondato nel 1974 da Ritchie Blackmore, chitarrista dei Deep Purple. La loro musica è un misto di hard rock/heavy metal e musica classica in cui spiccano le grandi doti virtuosistiche dei singoli musicisti, che vengono unite con testi fantasy che hanno da sempre distinto il gruppo dalle altre band hard & heavy. All’epoca il gruppo era composto da Ritchie Blackmore(chitarra), Ronnie James Dio(voce), Craig Gruber(basso), Micky Lee Soule(tastiere) e Gary Driscoll(batteria). Il video allegato è di un concerto a Londra del 2005.
