“My Hero” è la traccia numero 7 di “The Colour and the Shape”, secondo album del gruppo “Foo Fighters”. Uscito nel 1997, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Foo Fighters sono un gruppo musicale post-grunge fondato dal musicista Dave Grohl nel 1994. Il loro nome deriva dal termine foo fighter, espressione usata per indicare, durante la seconda guerra mondiale, quegli strani avvistamenti aerei riferiti da alcuni piloti alleati, simili a quelli che generalmente vengono chiamati UFO. Il gruppo è formato da Dave Grohl(voce, chitarra ritmica), Chris Shiflett(chitarra solista, cori), Pat Smear(chitarra ritmica), Nate Mendel(basso) e Taylor Hawkins(batteria, cori).
