“Shoot To Thrill” è la traccia numero 2 di “Back In Black”, settimo album del gruppo “AC/DC”. Uscito nel 1980, questa canzone è il settimo singolo estratto dall’album. Gli AC/DC(spesso reso graficamente come ACϟDC) sono un gruppo hard rock formatosi a Sydney nel 1973. I loro album hanno venduto oltre 200 milioni di copie nel mondo, di cui oltre 71 milioni nei soli Stati Uniti. Sono inoltre considerati di rilevanza storica fondamentale nel panorama rock. Molti sono anche i film ispirati ai loro tour. Secondo la RIAA, l’album “Back in Black” è il secondo album più venduto di tutti i tempi(50 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo) dopo “Thriller” di Michael Jackson. Dal 1974 al 1980 il cantante del gruppo era Bon Scott. Il 19 febbraio 1980 fu trovato morto a Londra, all’interno di una Renault 5 di un amico. La band scelse Brian Johnson per sostituire lo sfortunato cantante; il primo album fu proprio “Back in Black”. Il gruppo attuale è formato da Brian Johnson(voce), Angus Young(chitarra solista), Malcolm Young(chitarra ritmica, cori), Phil Rudd(batteria) e Cliff Williams(basso elettrico, cori). Il brano “Shoot To Thrill è stato scelto come colonna sonora al film del 2010 “Iron Man 2” ed è la colonna sonora principale del trailer del film sopracitato. Il brano è stato anche la theme song di “Wrestlemania 25”.
