“Cowboys From Hell” è la traccia numero 1 di “Cowboys From Hell”, quinto album del gruppo “Pantera”. Uscito nel 1990, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Pantera sono stati un gruppo musicale heavy metal statunitense, originario di Arlington(Texas) e in attività dal 1981 al 2003. Il gruppo iniziale era formato da Terry Glaze(voce), Dimebag Darrell(chitarra), Rex Brown(basso) e Vinnie Paul(batteria). Nel 1986 Glaze, che voleva continuare a suonare heavy metal melodico, lasciò la band. Il suo posto fu preso da Phil Anselmo. “Cowboy From Hell” è considerato l’album della svolta per la maturazione stilistica della band, precedentemente legata al heavy metal classico. Molto avvertibile è l’heavy metal in stile Judas Priest. Il singolo “Cowboy From Hell” mostra tutte le incredibili capacità alla chitarra di Darrell e del resto del gruppo, grazie ad un suono potente ed estremamente veloce.
