“Transmission” è la traccia numero 16 di “Still”, terzo album del gruppo “Joy Division”. Uscito nel 1981, questa canzone è il primo singolo estratto dall’album. I Joy Division sono stati una band post-punk inglese formatasi nel 1977 a Salford, nella contea di Greater Manchester. La band era costituita da Ian Curtis(voce), Bernard Sumner(chitarra e tastiere), Peter Hook(basso) e Stephen Morris(batteria e percussioni). L’album “Still” è uscito postumo, dopo la separazione della band, il disco è costituito da materiale in studio già edito in precedenza, da alcuni inediti e da una registrazione dal vivo dell’ultimo concerto della band presso l’Università di Birmingham.
