“Black Summer” è una canzone del gruppo Red Hot Chili Peppers. Questa è il singolo di lancio di “Unlimited Love”, dodicesimo album dei RHCP in vendita dal primo aprile 2022. I Red Hot Chili Peppers(talvolta abbreviato semplicemente in RHCP o Red Hot) sono un gruppo rock statunitense, formatosi a Los Angeles nel 1983, inseriti nella “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” nel 2012. Hanno venduto più di 70 milioni di dischi, di cui 22 milioni nei soli Stati Uniti; inoltre detengono il record per il maggior numero di singoli al primo posto della Modern Rock Tracks, classifica stilata dalla rivista Billboard. La formazione attuale del gruppo è composta da Anthony Kiedis(voce), John Frusciante(chitarra, cori), Michael “Flea” Balzary(basso, tromba) e Chad Smith(batteria, percussioni). “Unlimited Loved” è il primo album con il chitarrista Frusciante dal 2006. Nel brano “Black Summer” la chitarra eterea sottolinea i testi introspettivi, mentre il ritmo sblocca un groove di batteria ipnotico evidenziato da bassi evocativi.
