“Been Caught Stealing” è la traccia numero 5 di “Ritual de lo Habitual”, terzo album del gruppo “Jane’s Addiction”. Uscito nel 1990, questa canzone è il terzo singolo estratto dall’album. I Jane’s Addiction sono un gruppo alternative rock statunitense, formatosi a Los Angeles nel 1985. Nata nei ghetti della capitale losangelina, fra la fine degli anni ottanta e l’inizio degli anni ‘80 la band venne riconosciuta come una delle più innovative e variegate formazioni del periodo. Il gruppo è composto da quattro membri, Perry Farrell(voce), Dave Navarro(chitarra), Eric Avery(basso) e Stephen Perkins(batteria). L’album “Ritual de lo Habitual” è considerato uno dei migliori nella storia della musica alternative rock degli anni ‘90 e uno dei migliori nella storia della musica. La rivista “Rolling Stones” lo inserisce alla posizione 453 nella “Lista dei 500 migliori album”.
