“Around The World” è la traccia numero 1 di “Californication”, settimo album del gruppo “Red Hot Chili Peppers”. Pubblicato nel 1999, questa canzone è il secondo singolo estratto dall’album. I Red Hot Chili Peppers(talvolta abbreviato semplicemente in RHCP o Red Hot) sono un gruppo rock statunitense, formatosi a Los Angeles nel 1983, inseriti nella “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” nel 2012. Hanno venduto più di 70 milioni di dischi, di cui 22 milioni nei soli Stati Uniti; inoltre detengono il record per il maggior numero di singoli al primo posto della Modern Rock Tracks, classifica stilata dalla rivista Billboard. La formazione attuale del gruppo è composta da Anthony Kiedis(voce), Josh Klinghoffer(chitarra, tastiere, cori), Michael “Flea” Balzary(basso, tromba) e Chad Smith(batteria, percussioni). L’album “Californication” è il loro disco di maggiore successo commerciale, con 16 milioni di copie all’attivo, di cui oltre 700 mila in Italia dove è rimasto nella top 50 di “TV Sorrisi e Canzoni” per ben 71 settimane consecutive. La rivista “Rolling Stone” l’ha inserito al 399esimo posto della sua “lista dei 500 migliori album”.
